Type current contact information immediately following your name (e.g. address, phone number, email address, fax number, etc.)

Describe strengths or talents that qualify you for the job

Restate interest in position and explain why you're the ideal candidate for the job

Avoid including objective statement

Explain follow-up

Offer to send backup credentials

Bold section headers or use CAPS instead

   

Leave sufficient spacing between different sections

Use power verbs

Avoid pronouns such as I or me.

Use figures, numbers whenever possible to highlight professional achievements

Maintain punctuation consistency

Don't include hobbies

Don't include references

Eliminate irrelevant information

Check for typos

Use quality white or cream paper
